It kind of feels weird that my college friends are headed back to school today – I’m happy that I’m not one of them (because, let’s face it, not having to take notes, study for exams, and all of that is fantastic…) but I can’t help but be a little nostalgic. That’s normal, right?
I really like my post-grad life, though. It’s not always perfect, but I’ve been having a lot of fun, experiencing so many new things, and learning and growing. I loved college, but real life teaches you so much more than being in the classroom. I’m still adjusting, but in a good way. As I’ve said before… I’m a work in progress ;) Anyways… on to what I was up to this past weekend :)
Friday night was girls night out with my best pal B, her mom, my mom, and a couple other people! We went to Aces Grille in North Ridgeville for food, drinks, and fun! I ended up leaving early because Mike & I were getting up early for our Saturday plans, but I still had a fun night! It was so funny to see our moms having a ball together. They need to hang out more often.
Saturday was Mike’s company day at Cedar Point, so we got free admission, food, & drinks! It was GORGEOUS weather-wise. Sunny, not a cloud in sight, but also not overwhelmingly hot… and the nice lake breeze helped.
We got our fix by around 5PM after doing a loop around the park, finding out Maverick was broken down, and didn’t feel like waiting 2+ hours for Millenium Force, so we called it a day. We were still able to ride quite a bit of rides, though!
We met up with my mom afterwards for a fresh, healthy dinner (way better than the food at Cedar Point… although I did learn that there’s a buffet that has salads & stuff which I did not know before, so next time I’ll be checking that out.)
Sunday also consisted of a run, which you can read about in my weekly fitness update… Mike & I felt really old Sunday night and today, Cedar Point did a number on us (especially that Mean Streak…). My body’s never been so sore!
This week will mostly be focused on working out more & getting ready for our move (less than 3 weeks!).
